Transport from ferry port

I got to Bãi Vòng port from Rạch Giá city. The ferry company and a tour agency say that there is no city bus around the port, and I have to take a taxi. About 12:00, I talked directly with a taxi driver, and he offered 200000đ for the city center. I made a use of Grab to take a return way to the port in the morning on another day, a normal car costed 129000đ, and a bike costed 36000đ. Prices vary depending on time.

I only showed my passport when I bought a ticket on the mainland, but this time, they asked me to do so at the ticket office and on boarding.

Activity

Transport is inconvenient on the island. If you cannot afford taking taxis all the day nor ride a motorbike by yourself, it's better to make a good use of tour agency. They offer tours of a day or half, hopping islands, visiting around touristic places, snorkeling and so on. JOHN'S TOURS looks good and they speak good English. But for its popularity, a group of a tour may be full. I felt very tight on a crowded small boat. Their prices are between 500000đ and 150000đ. Visa/Master can be accepted with no commission fee.

フェリーポートからの交通

　今回はRạch Giá からのフェリーで、島の東側 Bãi Vòng という港に到着。フェリー会社やツアー会社の人に尋ねたが、このフェリーポートまでの市バスなどは出ておらず、タクシーを利用するしかないとのこと。Dương Đông という賑やかな地区までは、12時前頃、港で客引きをしていた運転手と直接話をして200000ドンだった。Grabだと、逆方向、午前中でタクシー129000ドン、バイク36000ドン。時間帯によって異なるようである。

　Rạch Giá からの出発ではチケット購入時のみパスポートを提示したが、今回は購入時と乗船時共にパスポートを確認された。

　Dương Đông 地区では、空港↔︎グランドワールド（遊園地）行きの17番バスが走っていた。

アクティビティ

　島内の交通は不便なので、タクシーを乗り回しても良い人か自分でバイクを借りて動き回れる人以外は、素直にツアーに申し込む方が良い。JOHN'S TOURS というツアー会社が英語も話せて親切だった。大陸へ戻るフェリーの時間や価格も教えてくれた。ただ、利用客も多く、離島巡りツアーではボートが満席でかなり窮屈だった。島内のスポット巡り、離れ小島巡り、シュノーケリングなどの半日～一日のツアーで500,000ドン〜1,500,000ドン。VISA/Master利用可。決済手数料なし。
