2.5h from Brisbane by Greyhound. There are some hiking courses in the national park. On the coastal one, you can see whales and dolphins.
Everglades Ecosafari tour
A mangrove river cruise near lake Cooloola, at about 140 AUD. A boat cruising and canoe if you want, with simple lunch of a muffin, fruits and fruits juice. No wild animals can be seen except some birds if you are not lucky.
K’gari camping tour
3 days 2 nights camping tour, about 600AUD with dormitory stay in Noosa at the nights before and after the tour.
You will travel around on a sand accumulating island, K’gari, also known as Fraser island by driving 4WD yourself. Meals are served from the lunch on the departing day to the lunch on the returning day. The lunches are easy sandwiches, and the dinners and breakfasts are prepared by yourself in the camping site. You will sleep on a comfortable bed under a tent with another roof. There are also showers with hot water, and water flushing toilets. There is a small shop to buy drinks and snacks, although its opening time is very limited. Almost no outlet, only a few in the kitchen area but you can charge your phone with USB in the car while driving. Almost no telephone signals on the island.
Swimming at beach is difficult because the current of the sea is so violent, and there are a lot of sharks. You’ll mainly swim in inland lakes and streams. There are toilets and changing rooms by swimming points.
You will see wild dogs called dingo at beach, or any other areas. They look like normal dogs, but they are dangerous. Camping sites are blocked by electric cables against them. There is no koalas nor kangaroos on the island.
